As part of this commitment, we continuously monitor our system of quality control, and we comply with AICPA standards that require us to subject our policies and procedures involving the preparation, review, and audit of financial statements to an independent audit or “System Review.” The objective of a System Review is to boost quality in the accounting and auditing services provided by AICPA member firms. This goal serves the public interest and enhances the significance of our AICPA membership. Hollis CPAs and Associates’ system of quality control is designed to comply with the AICPA’s high quality control standards. Our most recent peer review, dated August 25, 2021 (for the year ending December 31, 2020) rated Hollis CPAs with a “pass” rating, meaning that our system received the AICPA’s top rating by its design and with our staff complying with our policies and procedures in all material respects.

Mrs. Hollis and her husband reside on Amelia Island. They both are avid Jacksonville Jaguar fans and enjoy supporting and being part of the Jacksonville, Amelia Island and Fernandina Beach communities.
Her work knowledge is extensive with over forty years of accounting and audit experience. Before founding Hollis CPAs and Associates, Mrs. Hollis worked as a corporate manager in the Internal Audit department at Jacobs Engineering, Inc. While working at Jacobs she conducted audits and investigations involving projects in the aerospace, technology, infrastructure, transportation, pharmaceutical. and other engineering projects. Before Jacobs, Mrs. Hollis worked as an Audit Manager at Ernst & Young, LLC. (E&Y), and before E&Y, as a Senior Auditor at Coopers & Lybrand, LLC, and as a staff auditor at Peat, Marwick and Mitchell, LLC.
Before working in internal audit at Jacobs, Mrs. Hollis served as the Finance Manager in Program Control at Cape Canaveral Air Force station on its Launch Operations and Support Contract for Delta, Titan, and Atlas unmanned rocket missions. The contract also supported NASA’s Space Shuttle payload processing project for missions to the International Space Station.
Mrs. Hollis graduated with a BBA in Accounting from the University of Oklahoma, MBA from Oklahoma City University, and has completed several post graduate studies at Walden University. She has authored several courses on how to conduct forensic and fraud investigations and has taught numerous university level business courses at Keiser University, Southeastern Oklahoma State University, and MIS Training Institute/ACI Learning. Mrs. Hollis has conducted audits and investigations internationally, and has trained internal auditors, academic professionals, and government agency personnel in North, Central, and South America as well as in Europe.
Mrs. Hollis is a Certified Public Accountant licensed to practice in the state of Florida. She was also previously Certified in Financial Forensics. The CFF Credential is awarded by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and is granted exclusively to CPAs who are members in good standing of the AICPA which binds them to the AICPA Code of Professional Conduct.
Kathy Fett is the Senior Tax, Accounting and Audit Manager at Hollis CPAs and Associates. Mrs. Fett’s work experience is also extensive, with over 15 years of experience. Prior to working at Hollis CPAs, Mrs. Fett worked in both corporate and public accounting. Her current role is to oversee all aspects of the firms accounting, audit, and tax projects. Mrs. Fett was the lead representative on our firm’s conversion from Thomson Reuters software suite to the more robust Wolters Kluwer software suite, which includes a very extensive audit program that is also utilized by many of the top CPA firms in the country.
Mrs. Fett is licensed in the state of Florida. She graduated with a BBA in Accounting from National University in San Diego, California. She also holds an MBA with a concentration in Accounting from the New York Institute of Technology.
We also employ a team of professional staff accountants who are responsible for assisting clients in preparing and reviewing financial documents, state tax reports, and financial statements.
